People want to wear something that means something, and not just do what alot of other associations do and advertise, like putting a set of Harley Wings on their cut.
WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THE PATCH!
“I am free to live and free to ride and rules are not what guides me but my conscience”- here at Defiant Ones Motorcycle Association “your rules are you” and “you are ruled by no-one”.
WE HOPE THIS BRINGS UNDERSTANDING AND MANY OF YOU WILL COME AND BECOME MEMBERS IN THE NEAR FUTURE.
OUR PATCH
The Top and bottom rocker speak for itself you are a member of an Association not a Motorcycle Club (MC) Riding Club (RC) Motorcycle Ministry (MM) or Law Enforcement (LE)
The Motto around the center speak to where you and many individuals of a variety of different societal cultures hail from. They hail from descendants who through blood and death at times, and by other means, to oppose rule that was not what in their own conscience they believed and made changes or became outlaws but always stood ground on their personal feelings of freedom.
The gear encircling the center represents the continuous turning in the life of a person trying to find the right connection at the right time to handle the right situation. It is synonymous with a transmission shifting gears. Depending on the situation presented a transmission needs to adjust, manually for every circumstance it is presented with, and the Rider is the one who is “free’ to choose that option when the need presents itself.
The triangle in the very center represents a desire for unity, balance, self-control, and authority like fire.
The sun and crescent moon represent the belief in change through action of an individual. The Crescent Moon is the first quarter of the lunar month. which makes a person first in thought (conscience) and in belief (commitment to conscience) the sun is light shining across all things drowning out the shadows and exposing truth through strength.
The watch represents time, eternity, but the location of the hand just before 11 0’clock is significant to the meaning of the 11th hour otherwise known as “the time to act is now” this is the latest possible time before its to late.
The broken piston. This is a memorium to bikers who have failed to get along because of differences or “Rules” among them in our sub-culture lifestyle. The hope that is in this image is that one day bikers will all join together as one force free from rules and divisions not just for a common cause (because for causes many groups to come together) but just because we all embrace the freedom that riding brings to us and the freedom our culture feeds us through that freedom.
